Gordy Bravo
Softball: Hitting & Fielding
Gordy Bravo came to BYU from Corona California, California. Currently coaches for the Texas Blaze 18u National team.
At Brigham Young University Bravo carved her place in the BYU career record books from centerfield. She is fourth in batting average (.368), eighth in at-bats (647), seventh in runs (141), sixth in hits (238), tied for fifth in triples (7) and seventh in on-base percentage (.450). 2015 NFCA All-Pacific Region Third Team. 2015 West Coast Conference Player of the Year. As a junior Bravo hit .444 which is the best single-season batting average in BYU history. All-WCC First Team. Conference championship and NCAA Regionals in all four years of her career. After college: From 2014 to 2020 Bravo played with the Mexican National Team during the summer. Qualified for Tokyo 2020 with Team Mexico. Played in the NPF one year with the Cleveland Comets. Assistant coach at Saint Mary’s College of California 2019-2021

Jacob Lindgren
Baseball – Pitching
Selected by the New York Yankees in the second round of the 2014 MLB draft. Fastest person to make it to the big leagues with the Yankees since Deion Sanders! For the season (Rookie Ball to Double-A), he pitched in 19 games with a 2–1 record, 2.16 ERA, a save, and 48 strikeouts compared to just 13 walks in 24+2⁄3 innings. Also spent time with the Atlanta Braves and Chicago White Sox.
While playing high school baseball at St. Stanislaus HS, he played summer league with Marucci Elite. In college, he was named a first-team All-American by Baseball America and Perfect Game as well as a second team All-American by the NCBWA. Voted First-Team All-SEC by the league’s 14 head coaches. Led the country with 16.3 strikeouts per nine innings. Finished first in the country among all relievers with 100 strikeouts, which ranked third overall in the SEC.

Zoe Bacon
Softball: Hitting, Pitching & Catching
Zoe Bacon, a 2015 Lake Travis softball alumni, is the all-time leader in career home runs and the all-time leader in wins and strikeouts as a pitcher.
A 4 year varsity starting pitcher at LT, she has 4 time All-District accolades and was a 4 time team MVP. She was awarded the CenTex Newcomer of the Year after her freshman season in 2012. She was the Pitcher of the District in 2012 and 2015 and she earned All CenTex honors in 2013 and 2015. During her senior season she hit 5 home runs in 5 consecutive at bats to break the National High School Softball record for consecutive home runs. Bacon was All-State and a TGSA All-Star athlete in 2015. During her sophomore year of high school, she accepted a full-ride softball scholarship to UTSA. A back injury in the fall of her sophomore year at UTSA resulted in a medical redshirt season. After unsuccessful rehabilitation attempts, she was forced to retire fall of 2017.

J.T. Taylor
Baseball & Softball: Hitting, Catching & Fielding
Coach Jerry “J.T.” Taylor is a former University of Texas baseball standout, who played for coach Cliff Gustafson and was drafted in 1995 by the Cleveland Indians. J.T. now spends his time teaching the finer points of hitting and defensive skills to baseball and softball players in Central Texas, at Austin’s premier air-conditioned batting cage facility, The Bat Cave. Private lessons for hitting, fielding and catching are available.

Marcel Carter
Baseball – Hitting, Pitching & Fielding
Marcel was born in El Paso Texas and was raised in the Austin area. He went to Bowie high school in Austin where he played baseball and basketball. He was a three year letter winner in baseball and was voted unanimous first team all district selection at 3rd base his senior year as well as playing in the Austin area all star game. After high school Marcel went on to play at Abilene Christian University as a utility player where he started in the outfield and spent some time playing in the middle infield. He played 3rd base at coastal bend college as well. Coach Marcel now coaches for Lonestar Baseball Club.

Mark Davis

As an accomplished baseball player and mentor having years of experience guiding and mentoring athletes, Coach Mark helps athletes achieve maximized performance levels and success in the sport of Baseball and Softball. Experienced in instructing players regarding new and improved form, performance techniques, and endurance supporting exercises. David House

David graduated from Huston-Tillotson University with a degree in Kinesiology- Human Performance. David has continued to develop his professional profile through his training and has certifications such as the American Council on Exercise (ACE). He has 10 years of experience in sport-specific training (baseball, softball, football, basketball, tennis).
David was a multi-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, and track at Waco High School and collegiate baseball for 4 years. Shortly after graduating, he realized that his true passion resided in the ability to help others achieve their physical and athletic goals. His focus is physical, mental, and spiritual health components to promote the highest potential in every Athlete.

Ricky Canales
Baseball: Hitting, Fielding, Pitching & Catching
Ricky is a 2014 graduate of Dripping Springs High School, where he was a three-year letterman for the Tiger Baseball Team, and a four-year letterman for the Tiger Cross Country Team. He spent many hours under the instruction of our own J.T. Taylor since age 8 and has absorbed many mannerisms of teaching the game from him. Ricky is a former Outfielder/Pitcher for the Schreiner University Baseball Team. He graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. Ricky was honored with the distinction of being the first, four year, two-sport NCAA athlete in Schreiner University History. Ricky spent his summers in the Centex Collegiate Baseball League, where he served as team captain of the Austin Expos. He has been training athletes since 2014.
